Doner eggs

Post subject: Hi Julie, we don't have an appointment yet, we are just at the requesting referral stage, I have asked them sooo many questions and we have now asked my gp to refer us, we are having bloods done to go with the referral letter and we live in the catchment area. The cost should be around £1800 in total, the IVF cycle is free BUT the criteria are pretty strict for egg share doners so theres no guarantee we will get accepted.

Post subject: Ooh thats quite steep. Do you have to pay for your own drugs? Ahh are you having ICSI? Is that why its costing so much? Cos if you have enough eggs they will match you to 2 couples.

Post subject: Yes we will have to have ICSI which adds most of the cost, the IVF cycle is free but need to pay for our own drugs so the total of all that would be £1800.

Post subject: Oh the donor couple paid for my drugs when we did it. Yes i know the criteria are tough. I was worried we wouldn't be accepted too, but it was ok.
I paid 500.00 for the tests i had to have, but everything else was free. And if it hadn't worked that time it would be 250.00 the next time. xxxxx _________________
