MATERNITY PAY FOR AGENCY WORKERS Question Question Question I have been employed since February 2008 on a 1 year contract with a council via an agency. Does anyone know weather I am entitled to Maternity Pay even though I am employed via an agency?, or does the agency pay for my maternity leave if at all?

Hi

I was employed through an agency for a few months and when I left I was told I would not be entitled to any maternity money...... NOT TRUE!!!
If you go to your local Job agency, they have forms for you to fill out and as long as you have some pay slips to prove you have worked you will be entitled to some pay.
It all depends on how much you earnt within a certain period of time ( not sure how they work it out) but I was entitled to £112 a week for roughly 9 months!! Its definately wrth finding out about! Smile
