Post subject: pregnancy hi my name is laura knowles i am 22 yrs old
wanting to have a baby but i am worried bout financies you dont get much maternity pay! also would i get help with money if to ill to work whilst pregnant? i live with my partner and both work fulltime! but we only have 60pds left spare to put away for the baby! if i was off ill i would somehow have to find the money my partner only can afford his half of the bills and the same with me! plus i will have to work fulltime after maternity with a baby hard work! would this work? would someone reply and let me know what i am intitled to and where i can go to discuss this? thankyou,  Posted: Sun Jul 15, 2007 7:34 pm

speak to your midwife she is the beest person to ask, you may also find the job centre can offer some help, try looking up maternity and paternity rights as you should be able to ge help. are you private renting? if so, if you cant afford the rent explain this to housing options, as long as you have proof of pregnancy you are entitled to have some of the rent paid by housing benefit. i cant help much more im afraid, but i do hope that helps tc
