Will i know my baby when we meet again?
will they have grown up, not be the infant that died in my womb
Will i recognise them, be able to find them among so many others?
or will they be a stranger to me, not knowing who i am,
or me knowing them?

Do babies grow up in heaven?
they never got their first tooth, or said their first words,
no first shoes, no santa, no first birthday cake.
will my child still be a baby when we meet?

Do babies grow up in heaven?
who sings them precious lullables?
Who holds them close and kisses them daily?
who tells them constantly that they are loved?

Do babies grow up in heaven
when we next meet, will they know me
will he want to know me
will they be be my child who died, or an adult fully grown
will i have the joy of being a mother to my child to eternity?

Do babies grow up in heaven
will i be able to hold them, love them, sing lullabies to them
will i be able to hold their tiny hand, or will it be an adult hand
will i ever have that joy that only hold my baby can bring
i need to know. in heaven, are they still a baby.
