Getting pregnant after having the implant taken out

Post subject: I've been off the implant since April 2010 and 14 months later we r still trying. is it just me or does some1 know any1 who fell pregnant after waiting this long? its been really bothering us. i know its not my partner as he has a child to previous partner.

Post subject: I'm just about to have my implant removed. We have a daughter and have been waiting til now to have another. The doctor said this was the best form of contraception to have to be able to have removed ang get pregnant straight away. Now I'm worried that its gonna take a long time to concieve. Does anyone know anyone who has got pregnant with in six months?

Post subject: i am about to have my implant out and after reading this i feel abit down, when i had it put in the doctor said that i was a good contraceptive as when it is removed my fertillity will return to normall as soon as its taken out. i now wish i never has it put in as i am desperate to add to my family :'( i hope it happens for every one!! xxxxxx

Post subject: Hi i had my implant out 7 months ago after only having it in for 6 months i was also on the pill but now on nothing me n my fiance have been trying to conceive since having my implant out and still nothing im devasted everytime i get my period coz it makes me think there muste be something wrong with one of us. Is there anytjing u can do to speed up the process of ur body recovery so i can conceive ??

Post subject: anybody else? :-( ive had the implant out for a year now and i am still NOT pregnant..Im really scared that something is wrong. Ive had an abortion when i was 17 so i know i can get pregnant but im just wondering why nothings happening! Its really stressing me out. If i knew the implant would do this then i wouldnt of had it x

I'm new on here but I am very confused and need some help and advise desperately please! I have been on the implant for 16months and never had any periods then on the 24th May I had been on a day out with my fiance and realised the following day my implant had moved and was sticking in me. I booked an appointment to get my implant out but whilst I was waiting for the day of my appointment that was the 30th May I had come on my period on the 26th May and it was heavy. It then stopped on the thursday 30th may which was my appointment day to get my implant removed which was then just light spotting. I have had my implant taken out and I have had nothing, since I have had it out me and my fiance have been having sex without contraception as we want a baby. I have cramping in the tummy which keeps coming and going and feel nausea in the morning. I am also having more regular wees than normal and keep getting a funny feeling that my tummy is harder. Is it my tummy playing tricks on me or is there a possibility I am pregnant? I know my implant hasn't been out long but I really want a baby. Thankyou Amy Posted: Fri Sep 28, 2012 1:19 pm
Post subject: getting pregnant I'm sorry to hear there are people having trouble after the implant was taken out. I had mine taken out at the end of august I had one week of bleeding straight after and then fell pregnant before my next period was due. I guess what they say is true though. Try not to worry or have sex all the time. Me and my partner where relaxed with it all and just decided it will happen when it happens. I hope everyone has some good news soon. And good luck!!

Post subject: hi everyone i had implant in for 6 years so twice and had
periods every month whilst had it in and it has been confirmed today that i am 6 weeks preg so working it out i got preg the first week after havin implant doc said it is very quick usually takes a bit longer but i think everyone is dif and also i was bleeding slightly 2 days after had it removed but doc thinks i conceived then, had preg symtoms for just over 4 weeks now and look 3 months already even tho i no im only 6 weeks doc said it normal for ple who have already had kids to show early hope this helps because i herd loads of stories that its hard to get preg after implant but in my case it was sooooo quick good luck to everyone tryin ope it happens soon x
