I know Jen. Im going to ring this week and then I can use that as a reason to try and see someone else about ttc as well. Not really sure what to do tho....do you just ring docs and say that is what you want or do you have to go to a hospital? x

Hi

Having a smear is really important - in the UK a nurse should do it for you at your local GP practice, not exactly pleasant but better than what the alternative might be surely?

Does anyone use these ovulation tests? The ones that pick up luteneizing hormone? I've tried to use them this month - similar to pg test, pee on the stick and if the line shows in the window you have an LH surge and should ov in 24 to 36hrs. I started testing on day 8 as I have a short cycle, now day 14 and got a very pale line (I've used nearly two packs!) so hopefully tomorrow it will be all systems go - but that is quite late surely? I'm usually 24 to 26 days, so maybe I ov just 10 days before af. Who knows???

My DH bought me a book on 'how to get pregnant' and guess what there was a baby recipe in it apparently from a gynae. He said to have sex as soon as af finished then abstain until 14 days before next af, then do it once more 48 hours later. Kind of like three strikes and you're out! Will let you know if it works because we've tried the rabbit thory, only every two days, every 3 days etc everything you can think of. Next month we'll try the thermometer thing too...

Hi. Ive been trying the ovulation tests recently and according to them I am never actually ovulating although I know i am. AF is usually bang on regular and I think ov pretty much is too so im not relying too heavily on them. Other people may have different opinions but they arent for me. I think everyone is different tho so def worth a try?! xx

Hi, I've tried the ov sticks and they aren't for me either, never had a positive which is a bit disheartening. I see more signs with my CP, CM and temp and they are a bit easier to follow

Choked with the cold and working all weekend until 3am. Apart from that fine. Just been pulled round the hills by the dogs cos some inconsiderate farmer has put cows in the field where they usually get off to chase the wabbits Laughing How are you?

Its reassuring getting checked regularly though. I'm on yearly checks at the hospital and will be forever because I developed a full blown tumour in the 3 year gap between smears which is really unusual because they say that abnormal cells take about 8 years to turn into cancer.
