Post subject: recipes need new ideas for weaning
so far have tried carrot, baby rice and banana (am using up carrot and baby rice mostly as have carrot & mummy milk frozen already in ice cube trays and packet of rice is open). has anyone tried sweet potato themselves and is it nice (never tried it but keep reading about it for weaning).???? can't just go out and buy for Thomasina - will have to eat the left overs myself too _________________

Post subject: sweet potato is nice - sounds wierd - but you can boil in and mash it as normal. We went to a thanksgiving dinner, and they had swwet potato with the main (which is fine cos I like it) but it had marshmallows on the top! It was wierd, but not too bad as long as you didn't get any gravy on it!!!

Post subject: Hi Somo
I've not been on this website in ages as I've been at work, but I've started my maternity leave now - whoohoo! Glad to see you are doing well. I found a fantastic webite http://www.annabelkarmel.com/ it has loads of recipe ideas and meal plans; great for you and your little one. Hope it helps. Take care K _________________ ![]() Posted: Wed Jan 21, 2009 9:24 am
