Post subject: Testing Buddy - 16th May
Was wondering if anyone was planning to test on 16th?
Have been ttc since last summer, no signs so far. I'm 32 and was on the pill on and off since my teens, so who knows how long it could take???
Fed up of reading / hearing on tv that it takes an average 4 months. Although the NHS direct site says around 9 months for a couple in their 30s. So it must be my turn now!!!
Anyway, unless AF pops along unannounced, I'll be testing next Friday if anyone wants to join me. But not literally, you see

Sorry you are having a crappy time of it. This TTC lark really isnt quite as fun and exciting as it should be at times is it?! I am not certain, but I think if you are over 30(possible 30something) you only have to have been trying for 6 months to go the to docs for tests to make sure all is good. It may be worth a visit to your gp, just to put your mind at ease and know that all is good and mother nature is just taking her bloody time!!!
I am due af next tues, but wont be testing until the weekend if she stays away, so I will happily be your testing buddy I really dont know what it is, but I am soooooooooo positive this time. I just feel so upbeat and confident about it. I just really hope I am right!!!! If not, theres is always next time

Hi Tigger, Tinkerbell,
I did mean next Friday - 16th May. Glad you're feeling positive! I think I just feel the same as every other month although been a bit distracted and not really paying much attention to myself - my granny has been in hospital (thankfully ok and we brought her home tonight so panic over!)
I'm usually about 25 days which actually would be monday (so I guess there's avery chance AF will arrive before Fri and you ladies might have to carry on without me! Hopefully not...) but I did promise hubby I'd wait till Fri as he is working away next week, and doesn't want to hear any news over the phone. Bless
All hail the baby dust and pray to St Christopher (was he the patron saint of children? can't remember!) we should all do a rain dance on Thursday night for good measure
Fingers and toes crossed for both of you. And myself. Thats a lot of toes!

My friend had a littel girl last summer and the little monkey didn't seem to want to budge at the last minute. My friend was so fed up and uncomfortable. She said no-one ever tells you about how you can't really sit down properly once the head is engaged, nor do they tell you about the creaking joints and squished up lungs!
Very soon you will have room for your internal organs again! Not to mention the little bundle of love and joy!
Until then, maybe try to take comfort in the fact that he's probably much easier too look after on the inside than he will be once he comes out

I find the whole thing amazing. I'm addicted to baby books just now - my hubby thinks i'm bananas - but I'm just astounded that something that seems so complicated can be done. And by us amateurs? You don't even have to be a doctor to make it work
You've grown a whole baby inside you! It's quite awe-inspiring if you know what I mean
