hiya everyone i had my daughter at 24wks in may 2000 she weighed 1ib 10, i had been in hospital 10 days prior to her birth so i had been given the
steriod injection it was touch and go in those 10day to try and get to the viable stage for them to do something to help her survive.Nothing would stop her from being born and she made her entrance into the world natrually but feet first not breathing!!!!!!!! It was touch and go for the first 72 hours but she pulled though she was ventalated for 3 months in icu and then went on to cpap for 1 1/2 months in highcare and finally we spent a month in special care on low flow oxygen b4 i was allowed to take her home 5 1/2 months after she was born and weighing a healthy 7lb 7 and on no oxygen at all. she is now 8yrs 8mths and very healthy.
