Post subject: Can anyone help, Reversal question? Hi my hubby's booked to go in on 13th for his reversal, recieved a letter today asking him to attend a pre-admission outpatients appointment, and to take a urine sample and fill out a questionaire on his health to be returned, he is going via nhs (Long story) basically going by nhs as way of compensation. don't know if it's any different if your going private. just wondering if any of your men recieved something similar pre-op. thanks and all the best

Post subject: My husband just had to have a consultation when we first made contact with the clinic to ask about the reversal. Basically the Dr was asking questions about health & then a quick examination prior to us booking the op. He never had to go in for a pre op appointment & never had to do a urine sample but then I guess each Dr & surgery have different procedures. We went private and the only other time we saw the Dr was on the day of surgery. Good luck with your hubby's op

Post subject: Hi there,
My hubby had a consultation where the DR examined him down below and checked he could feel the end of the tubes. He also asked questions and filled out a few forms about health etc. Then the op was booked. Hubby had a pre-op appointment the morning of the reversal, a nurse took some blood and urine and he had to sign some form and then he was prepped for the surgery. After the surgery the DR checked on him and then on the morning of the discharge the DR just had one final check and then hubby was discharged. Ooh, bet you are all excited!! Hope the op goes well x x _________________ 38-PCOS, DH 47-VR Miracle BFP Xmas 2009! 2012 azoospermia IVF#1 - BFN IVF#2 starts 23/6/13 ![]() ![]() Posted: Thu Mar 05, 2009 10:14 am
Post subject: Ian didn't have a pre-op. His was the same as SJ's. We saw Mr Foster at the consultancy appointment, and then he received a health questionnaire to be returned. The next time we saw Mr Foster was about 15 minutes before the op. No bloods or urine was taken at all. xxx
