IUD birth control

Post subject: IUD birth control I have an apt to insert an IUD~ it is mirena.... one without cooper. I have read up and cant find any serious side effects. I am nervous bout getting it done. Does it hurt to have it put in and have anyone experienced bad side effects after getting an IUD?

Post subject: I found mnine painful to have it inserted but thats because I didn't fully dilate with Toby!
I found my periods haven't stopped but they're not painful anymore but are quite heavy!!! Odd twinges but I think thats random ovarian cyst pain!!! All in all I like it so does my OH! No Condoms result!! xx _________________  Posted: Thu Feb 26, 2009 11:55 pm
Post subject: Forgot to say I had period like pains on the day it was inserted nothing a hot water bottle wouldnt cure!
Also I took some codeine an hour before I was due to get it fitted took the edge of the pain me thinks! xx _________________
