Congratulations! It means positive! Skinny line just means it is very early, but as you are testing right when you are due this is perfectly normal.

I have had spottin with my two children which was quite bright red. Brown is usually a sign of old blood which is a good sign. Sorry to hear you had such a mess with your tests. Could you not ask your doctor for a blood test to get a definitive answer?

you should do a clearblue digital. it is the only way to know for sure, it will tell you pregnant, or not pregnant, you can take it the day your period is due and it will give you an over 99% accurate answer, it was the only test to stop all confusion. they are quite expensive, but well worth it.
