Post subject: I've been trying for almost a year Hi, I've been trying to get pregnant for almost a year and I haven't been successful. We have sex every other day between days 10 and 16. My period arrives between days 28-31. Sometimes I just have spotting and then a week later my 'proper' period starts.
I was on the conceptive pill for 10 years, I am 5 ft 5 and weigh almost 11 stone. Could one of these be a problem? I don't smoke or drink much and neither does my husband. I'd love to get pregnant but it doesn't seem to be happending. Does anybody have any anwers or has anybody else been trying for a year to get pregnant? Posted: Thu May 22, 2008 1:14 pm

Jox I wish you luck and hope it happens for you soon. I've just bought some vitamins for men who are trying to get there partner pregnant. I only bought them last week as I didn't know you could get such things, they have zinc and everything in them that is needed. I can't remember what they are called, but I will have a look later and let you know. Posted: Fri May 23, 2008 11:47 am

Yeah have a look for me please and let me know. And help and advise is most gratefull..
Jo x Hi, I've had a look and they are called 'Sanatogen Pro Natel' and you can get them in a twin pack, one for you and one for your partner. I've only just started taking them, I was using Pregnare Care before. I think that there both just as good as each other. But I liked the idea of the Sanatogen 'his' tablets. Jo x Hi, I bought them from Boots. But I also saw them in Superdrug. They ar £12.99 for the women and men packs (30 tablets each) or £4.89 for the women's pack of 30. My friend advised on Vitamin E in the strongest form you can buy Posted: Sat May 24, 2008 3:04 am
Post subject: hi jup! this may not be any help at all but we tried for 13yr and during that time we had IVF and that failed too. it wasnt till i lost 20kgs that i fell preg. im sorry i dont know stone or pounds but sometimes and only sometimes does weight have an impact. ask you doc if you are a healthy weight if you are unsure. no harm in asking.

Post subject: That just shows never ever to give up, even if it takes 13 years, it will difo be worth it in the end. I'm sure it was for you.
I have a bmi of 25 so I'm 'just' in the ok range, although nearing to the overweight range. But recently I have started to do exercise more. But I really must eat more healthy and loose a few pounds. I try not to stress about getting pregnant, but I think it's only natural when your period is approaching that you pray it won't arrive! Posted: Sun May 25, 2008 12:44 pm

Good luck with getting pregnant, I would go and see the Doctor, if I were you. They say it can depend on your age, weight, but I was lucky to concieve in less than 2 months of trying. I am 36 and a size 16...and have policystic ovaries...so you never know. What is sure is that if you do stress too much about it, then I think it affects also your chances. Best of luck and keep us updated. _________________ Posted: Mon May 26, 2008 7:21 am
