Post subject: nhs stop smoking groups
hi all

thought id post this as ive now gone smoke free for 9 weeks and havent had 1! smoked for 8 years 15 a day but decided i needed to stop. i couldnt do it on my own so this is how i did it

-call doctors surgery and they give you your local nhs stop smoking group
-nhs book u an appoint that week
- go to appointment 30 mins, they do smoke levels etc and talk u through the options and when u want to stop
-they give u a prescription (if ur preg its free) for that week. i got inhulater and patches
-go back week 2 for next prescription and for the group (optional)
-week 3 etc until week 12

if u have one they say dont worry just KEEP COMING! i found this way really helpful, supportive, cheap and am saving 130 a month.

if u want to give up please call them, i feel so much healthier xx
