Telling people!

Post subject: Telling people! We've just found out we're expecting our first child! We're both over the moon, finding it hard not to jump around telling everyone! and to be honest I can't wait to be able to do so! Does everyone think waiting till 3 months is the best thing to do?

My advice would always be, tell everyone whenever you and partner want cos it's your baby!  Some people feel safer waiting but others are too excited. Post subject: I would say it's up to you to decide what to do - if you and OH want to tell people do - I did when I was PG, I told anyone who would listen, the thing is it's the best news ever and why should you not tell people.
However, I lost my baby at 7 weeks 4 days and the worst thing was having to text and tell people - so just bear that in mind. Im SURE nothing will happen but best to be awear. Congratulations on your news you must be so pleased xx Posted: Fri May 30, 2008 11:01 am
Post subject:  thank you for your kind replies. I've told a few people now, mainly as I just can't think about anything else! I am so excited but really scared at the same time. Poor old shane (my other half) hasn't told anyone and is itching to tell people. I am just really worried something might go wrong.  it would break my heart to have to tell family and friends that we lost the baby! Maybe i'm being over worried as its my first baby?!

Post subject: congrats missmum think you should tell people when u and ur partner feel most comfortable if you wanna tell em now do that !!! why not its great news theirs no reason why you cant share t before 3 mths

Post subject: I agree we were so excited when we found out we couldn't not tell people to be honest, if your unsure just tell people you are really close to so at least you have someone you can talk to about it and be excited with other than OH. Good luck and all the best xxxx

we didnt want to tell anyone till i was 12 weeks but beings as i had to go for a early scan @ 6 weeks and hubby had to take time off from work. we had to tell my parents as hubby and my dad work at same place and we were worried hubbies boss might say something by accident. made both sets of parents keep quiet till i was 12 tho lol _________________     Posted: Fri May 30, 2008 3:30 pm

I had to start telling peeps as I statrted to show at 6-7 weeks, would of rather waited till 12 weeks but m/cd at 17 weeks anyway so even at 12 weeks it didnt help!!!. So I would start telling when you are happy too. Red xxx
