Post subject: Do the early tests work? Hi Everyone,
I new to the forum but from what ive seen the advice sounds fantastic, so hoping maybe you could hlp! I had a mc earlier this year and started to try again last mnth, due on on saturday but for the last week ive jut had a feeling tthat im pregnant and my chest has been really tender and i really want to know (Parnoid im imagining it all just because i want to e too) but i dnt know whether it is worth buying one of those tests that say can detect 5 days early or not incase it doeant work, has anyone had any experience of whether they do? If your going to test early the test I would say do is a First Responce test, you can get them from boots and they cost about £10 for two tests. I hope all works out for you chicken. Firstly sorry about your mc- hope you are managing to get through it. I had a mc at beginning of april, and started trying strainght away. Last week I did a test on Tuesday ( af was due Sat) so quite a few days early, and I got a BFP. So for me it did work. I was feeling pretty rough- light headed etc so tested. Obviously is depends on you levels of hormones, but if you get a negative, doesnt mean you not pg, might need to retest few days later. Post subject: Thank you for the replys, think i might ive first response a go, last time i used clearblue but it didnt show positive until about a week after i was due and no way can i wait that long!!
MC was March at 7 weeks, Thy said to wait 3 months before trying again but i read that usualy after 1st cycle its k so keeping everythin crossed!!! Posted: Mon Jun 02, 2008 11:33 am

Well made it throught the weekend- phew!! No af thank goodness-  Have been testing everyday like a woman possessed! and now the positive appears almost instantly!
Still feeling light headed on and off and cant stand the smell of fish fingers been cooked! lol!! Do you think I should ask doc for an early scan- Im just so paranoid and the 12 week scan seems ages away! argh!!! Hope you are well and had a good weekend xxx Posted: Mon Jun 02, 2008 11:40 am

I spoke to the doctors last week cause like you we have been trying again after the MC and she said the it I was PG then cause of the MC they wpuld arrange for us to have early scans, infact she said I could have 5 scans throughout the whole PG period - whcih is good news. Im sure that if the test comes back with a BFN (which it sounds like it will) then the NHS will let you have an early scan - if not more than that!!!! Post subject: so sorry i couldnt reply my computer crashed and only just got it up and runnin again flaming things!
the test was negative and did one the day after and that was the same, so i am going to wait until sat/un to do the other as thats when im due as i still realy feel like i am and im just hoping its to early for the tests and its so heartbreaking just seeing the one line i am going to leave it as long as i can. hope you al are getting on well xx
