Do the early tests work?

Post subject: Hi I am new to this and have never tried talking to people in forums. I am experiencing the same symptons and problems that Hellsbells is (i really understand and feel for you). I am not due on untill Tuesday but i have been having cramps on and off since last Saturday, my boobs ach i have been having headaches for the last three days and i just really feel pregnant and tired. So i took a clear blue pregnancy test on Thursday and the realised that it could only detect up to 4 days before (which should have been Sat) I then took a first response this morning and it still came back negative. I feel an idiot i really though i was pregnant.

Id say give it another week or go to the docs and ask for hcg levels to be tested. Mine is a waiting game as I am way over day 45 of cycle and still no AF and had neg tests (doc things maybe I ov later and is in the early stages of pg) so had bloods and have got to wait a week and couple of days for the results...... I secretely think he is hoping that either I test agian next week and I am or my AF arrives, as its a long time to wait. But I have symptoms that I only had when I was pregnant last year (both the doc and my hubby have noticed, as well as the rumour mill at work!!!) and I dont get them at any other time!!!! Thank you for you advice, sadly it looks like i have my AF, confusing thing is i came on two days early which has never happened to me i am 28 days regular. Post subject: I did early test. Was due on on the Saturday 9th in February and tested on the preceeding Wednesday - 2 X negatives. But I just knew. I'd had very early mc in December and I felt exactly the same with "waves" of nausea, heavy boobs etc, so it was no surprise when I didn't come on on the Saturday. My husband was working away during the week and we'd said we'd do the test together but I couldn't wait. I did 1st test on Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday and finally believed the 2nd digital one on Thursday!!

Post subject: Yes early test works Hi everyone
After last months confusion i gave up and did not bother even trying. Would you believe it woke up yesterday and boobs were aching had a shower and oh my god they had grown over night (seriously). I did a test yesterday afternoon af not due till saturday first minute it was definatly negative second minute it had a a very faint 2nd line. Tried a clear blue test this morning god they are really hard to read if you are doingit before your AF (threw that one away. I did a first response test twenty mins ago and definatly two lines one is fainter then the other though. What does anyone think? Xx  Posted: Thu Jul 03, 2008 9:58 am
Post subject: With my first pregnancy, I tested the day before I was due and had a VERY faint line (just neought to see it) and my doc said that tests today are so good that if it picks up a line, then most likely you are BFP!!

Im so tempted to test soon, Im due on a week tomorrow 11th I know i will be gutted if it comes back neg and will be tempted to keep testing until a day after AF due so... am gonna wait so i know when i test its the correct result. i have always thought one line is neg and two lines is pos no matter how feignt the line is so fingers crossed for you x _________________ <a><img></a>
