Post subject: IVF clinics in and around essex Hi all,
I have been a "watcher" of these forums for years! Me and hubby been trying since we married four years ago and it has taken three years since first doctors appoinment to (hopefully) doctors referral to ivf clinic next week! Has anybody been to clinics in the essex area - any recommendations as looked at the HFEA website and success rates are a couple of years out of date! and want to go to appoinment armed with information we will be refusing to leave hospital without referral process under way. Post subject: Hi Brezzer- I'm sorry I can't help much as I am in the US. I have read about some women who did not have fertility clinics near them actually beginning an IVF cycle with a reporductive endocronolist and then taking a vaction some place exotic for the actually retreval of eggs, implantation and 5 day bed rest.

thanks for your reply, sounds interesting tying in with a vacation - could defo do with one at the moment - will have to wait and see what doc says on thursday - the anticiaptation is a killer. Post subject: Brezzer- it was such a relief for me when I went to the specialist and all responsibility of charting and BDing at the right time was taken out of my hands. I finally felt like we were working towards our family.

Post subject: clinics in essex Hi Breezer
I'm currently using Isis fertility in colchester. So far I've been really pleased with them. the facility itself is nice, althou in middle of a business park once your in you have no idea. The staff are really friendly & helpful too. Not sure of their success rates, I wasn't given a choice of which one to go to. for me it wasn't an issue as I live in colchester anyway. Like you it took ages to get this far, tried for a year with no luck then went to docs who referred me to the general. With each stage taking 6-9 months it's now over 4 years. I am pleased to say we feel 1 step closer as I am 1 week into downregulating, so fingers crossed. Hope this was helpful & good luck next week
