Post subject: Supermarket's own brands Hi there.
Does anyone use any Supermarket own brand nappies? Pampers and Huggies are £3.99 for newborn packs but Asda and Tesco's own brand newborn packs are £ 1.64...that's a hell of a difference considering newborns can go through 12 a day! Does anyone regularly use own brand nappies and would you say they were just as good as the big brand nappies? xxx Posted: Fri Jun 06, 2008 6:47 pm
Post subject: xx hiya hun...i have loads ov pampers and huggies but also lots ov home brand ones aswell............i crnt see what much ov a diffrence they wll make...ill just change them a lil more often then what i wud the big brand xx

Post subject: Apparently lidl and Aldi make ones that are as good as pampers.
I had a voucher for a free pack from Lidl so i'll be comparing them to my pampers ones. Mind you, i've used supermarket tampons once and they just weren't the same as Tampax. I can't think of anything else that's absorbent to compare!!!! _________________

Post subject: they might have changed now but i tryed the asda own band nappies with my daughter and i ound the silicone gel stuff kept coming out when the nappie was wet so you ended up changing them more often so false economy really. always used and will use again huggies..

Post subject: xx well i drff wunt use like them tesco value ones no way they look so cheap...i got given loads ov morrison ones but they look just as good as huggies..........they feel the same inside and have all the lovly lil pictures on them.......to be honest if u put them up next to each other ya wunt be able to telll the diffrence...but them like 1.99 tesco value ones look soo cheap... x

Post subject: i've been getting huggies on special offer from cosco and saving them up but i did buy one pack of asda own brand newborn size 1 in the small chance this boy turns out to be small!!!!
 i didn't want to buy huggies newborn 1 then not use them and my cousin said asda own brand were ok (i think they've improved them recently?). she said tesco own brand weren't that great and leaked a lot xxxx_________________ I'm not on here all the time so if you need anything PM me Arch x Posted: Sat Jun 07, 2008 9:52 am

my daughter is 18 month old and i tried her with pampers when she was first born and they just used to leak. then tried her with huggies whih i have no complaints. and then i found tesco value nappies there £1.50 for 20 so like half price of huggies and pampers. and havnt had any problems no nappies rash or no leaks. _________________

Post subject: xx iv hered the tesco value ones are [*@!#%*].........there are tesco ones which iv hered are ok but the value ones arnt supose to be right good...but thats why they are so cheap cse there not as good value

Post subject: i have always used huggies as if i use the cheaper ones my children tend to get nappy rash so i just stick to huggies if u buy them in the big box its much cheaper

i was strictly a huggies girl until i discovered aldi nappies seriously they are half the price and the same huggies quality nothing beats em tryem and ull no wat im talkin about no leakage and really absorbent they keep urine away from baby unlike other home/supermarket brands i will be using aldi nappies from day 1 wit this baby _________________  Posted: Mon Jun 09, 2008 12:21 pm
Post subject: Boots own brand leaked a LOT for us. Really bad - we also didn't get on that well with Huggies, but Pampers seem to work well, so we've ended up sticking with them. I think I'll give Lidl a go though based on these comments!!
