Post subject: Free Perscriptions
Hi,
Just a quick one. Can anyone tell me how long you have to wait after sending your form off to get free perscriptions?
Cheers
Shaz

I'm pretty sure you can claim back some costs so if it didn't come in time, you just pay for it then claim it back xxxx

I received mine within about 10 days but when I needed a prescription, I just told the pharmacist that I was pregnant but not received my card yet and it wasn't a problem. I even forgot my card once and that still wasn't an issue.

When do you get this form?

I'm due to go to the dentist at the end of the month.

My midwife sent something off for me at my 1st appointment at about 8 weeks and then I got my card about 2 weeks later. With regard to the dentist, they didn't even ask to see my card, you just sign a declaration before your appointment.

My dentist never asked to see it either but they always do at the pharmacy as if they're suspicious.......not like it's really obvious I'm pregnant!!!!! Laughing

I haven't even had my first proper appointment with my midwife yet Sad

Can I still get free dental treatment if I don't have this card thing?

Don't want to have to pay if I'm entitled to it free!!

just tick the box for 'valid maternity certificate' and explain that you are waiting for your card at the moment. Most dentists and chemists are fine with that Very Happy
