Post subject: Long Haul Flight at 18 weeks Hello ladies..!
I am new to this site. I found out I am expecting my first baby last week (now 5 weeks). However before I found out I was pregnant me and my bloke had been discussing about going to stay with my Uncle who lives in San Fran and add Vegas on the end. We have found a good deal, but a bit apprehensive about booking it - I will be 18 weeks when I go. I am just worried about the long flight. Can anyone offer me any advice or if they have flown on a long haul flight. Thanks..! x Posted: Thu May 28, 2009 1:12 pm
Post subject: Hey, i flew a few times when i was pregnant, 12 weeks, 18 weeks and abit later cant remember when tho.
Was only a 4.5 hour flight but it was fine, just make sure u drink plenty of water try to avoid caffene and try to have a little walk about the plane. The only bad thing for me was that i hate going to the loo on a plane and being preg i was going every hour! _________________ Posted: Fri Jun 26, 2009 4:19 pm
Post subject: Hey there
I flew to the States (and back of course!) at 18 weeks and 20 weeks. The flights were 9 hours and it was just grand, I felt no different to any other time. On this occasion, I did wear flight socks and I did try to drink more water and go for wee walks round the cabin. Other than that, no problems at all. You'll be fine. Deb x
