Hi all. Ive just been talking on another post about this so thought id put up my own post about it. Ive found on ebay pregnancy tests that u can do 1 day after conceiving! Has anyone else heard of these? Do they work? Are they 2 good 2 be true? They r called ultra early 10 mIU pregnancy tests. They are very cheap and i cant help thinking if these worked then y cant u buy them in normal shops? Im desperate 2 find out if im pregnant even tho Ive convinced myself i am so would b great 2 find out now rather than waiting until nxt wk so really want 2 kno ppls views on these! Nikki.

Hi i would say you are wasting your money as hcg doesnt start to produce till implantation ie 7-10 days after conception

Hi Nikki. It's 2 weeks since I discovered this fab forum ('Very Happy')
(I'm newbie) and I've been quietly dipping in and out of posts trying to pluck up courage to join in! But when I saw your post re 10mlU test I had to reply. I used such a test about 2 weeks ago.

Living here in France it was available at local pharmacy and is indeed highly sensitive though it didn't boast being able to detect PG on day after conception (had loads of disclaimers etc). However I am TTC and after ovulating and much BD began to feel decidedly "different". Symptoms began around day 17 (cramps, emotional, boobs tender). Having been PG before I had strong suspicions and waited another few days (6 before AF on 28 day cycle) before asking for most sensitive test at pharmacy.

Came home with two "Zydus 10mlU" test, and did it mid-afternoon and to my delight got very pale pink line! OH thrilled as I was (esp as he's just had a vasectomy reversal, that's another story). So decided to do test following morn with strong urine to confirm result, and to my great disappointment, absolutely nothing!! No pale lines just blank. It was then I discovered this forum and also read elsewhere about "chemical pregnancies" and that such extremely sensitive tests pick these up giving a faint positive but the HCG in body rapidly diminishes within hours as the embryo fails to implant correctly.

Almost certain this is what happened to me and AF arrived unusually heavy and sore on day 27 after my earlier symptoms, noticeably the sore boobs faded away. Hope this helps, sorry it's so long!! Think from my point of view I'd buy the test again as just a few euros but I'd wait til around day of AF to use and try to avoid highs and lows. But been great support to read on here of all other women TTC who are as impatient as me!
Best of Luck,

Flanxxx Very Happy

Hey Nikki,

Thanks for the support! Feel we'll get lucky in the not too distant future given false positive prob means OH's little fellas getting thro again! Have also been really amazed at the support and compassion shown amongst girls here. It's v. encouraging and geat to follow those TTC to BFP!

By the way I'm 31 and have 3 kids 6, 4 and 2. OH had vas done 6 mth after 3rd born as we were "sure" we were done and then 18 mths and a move to France later, we were devastated to realise we'd rushed into wrong decision!!(took while to admit to each other but at least we both felt same way). In France they won't even offer vas op to men until in their 50s!! Been nearly 4 mth since op back in UK and been TTC 2-3 mth but subtly until I got all excited 2 weeks ago!

Good luck with your tests when they arrive. Fingers n toes crossed 4 u !

Hi Nikki, Life here is pretty hectic (we're farming) but I love France and the people are great! Language a killer, wouldn't fancy my chances on a French forum with their abbrevs!! Know what you mean about ups n downs and how this TTC can really absorb you. I feel really privileged to have my 3 gorgeous kids esp when reading of others with big challenges TTC and I even feel bit selfish looking for No. 4! But great 2 know whether it's TTC for baby 1, 2, 3 , 4 or even 5 as I think one lady is, we've all got something in common and are all here to support each other.
My AF not due for ages, about 18 days. So still got OV to get past. Don't chart or use kits or check CM, I just go on my body - I just get really horny, don't care about when and where for BD and my body kinda tells me "systems are go" Exclamation Sounds a bit weird Embarassed

Anyway, here's to AF staying away for you in 9 days time.....

Hi flan. I was goin 2 get ov testing kit but i think i kno when i ovulated. Im not sure if this is a sign of it but i with out sounding 2 personal i got a really wierd discharge, it was clear and jelly lik and lik u i was very horny. Since then Ive been getting really bad cramps which im hoping is a sign i could be preg. And the last few days Ive been gettin a white thick discharge which again im not sure if this is a preg sign or not. My OH Keeps sayin im goin 2 end up having a phantom preg as i keep convincing myself i am! Is france life more laid back than over here? I went a few times when i was younger. I kno what u mean about the language tho, it was never my strongest subject a school! Nikki.

Hi Nikki, sounds really promising!! Smile I'm glad to hear you also go by your hornyometer!! And I didn't mention it (because I'm new and bit shy...) but I also produce lots CM that time of mth tho haven't really bothered to check colour or texture.

Excited for you! Hope u get the best result.

France def. not been laid back for us, dead stressful in fact because we've taken on big debts and lots of risk and lots of mad things have happened to us! But we get on with it and are v. glad we made move. One good thing is it very child friendly and family-orientated country. Our kids are doted on by all neighbours and their French is pretty good now after a yr.

Forgotton my emoticons, again Confused

Keep us posted with those tests arriving and best of luck and a baby dust shower to you Wink

Hi flan. I will def keep u posted on the tests, just hope i get a positive. Is the schooling in france dif 2 here? I remember when i was younger we went and had a holiday in a cottage and there was a farm nxt 2 it, it had 2 oldish men livin there and they invited us over 4 a drink. My mum thought it was nice of them so we went. I must hav only been 12 or so and they tried giving me perno (spelt that wrong i know!) my mum went mad but they didnt c it as anything wrong, said its normal 4 families 2 all drink. Thats the only real memory i hav of that holiday! Nikki.

Hi Nikki. Yes the drinks here are certainly legendary, unlikely elderly neighbours knock back all manner of strong stuff aperitifs, digestifs in addition to wine and beer. They don't binge just imbibe all day long!! The OH and myself quite often get caught out as we're lightwieghts and OH tends to get migraine after certain strong drink, def not good for BD or anything else for that matter!! Think you maybe had Pernaud or Pinaud, tho I was a bit worried just what those 2 old men were offering you as it was 1 letter away from being something else!! (Your mum would defo have been mad!)
Have to sign off now as been so obsessed with forum today I've work to catch up with. Checking posts is v. addictive - don't think I can keep up this pace tho! Normally out working with OH on farm but been around house with kids today as no school on Weds. (very pleased with schooling here, much less health and safety and more outdoor fun and play).

Still crossing Fs and Ts 4 u.....

Hi flan. Yes its very addictive on here, its a really good site. Its so nice chattin 2 ppl in the same boat. What do u hav on your farm? I bet your children love living on a farm, i kno mine would! My OH has not let me drink -(just in case) 4 ages! Im not a big drinker anyway. Its never interested me so its definatly somethin i can live with out 4 the nxt 9 months if i get a bfp! Has been good chatting with u today. Hope 2 speak again soon. Nikki x
