Hello,
i went to USA for my TR. Wasn't cheap, but Dr Berger in Chapel Hill, North Carolina did mine. I had a BFP in Mar 09, but unfortunatley it was EP. I used Dr Berger as he is probably the best. They were so nice and I was treated like a princess, had minimal pain (back at work after 10 days) and tiny cut. I made it into a holiday and went a few days early to get the most out of my trip.

I looked at the surgeons in the UK, but none of them keep stats or could give me information without seeing them at a cost of £200!
They do have an easy pay saving scheme at Chapel Hill, which i used and i transferred US$ from the UK through World First traders in London as they gave me an excellent rate (much better than the bank).
They do have a website - you've probably seen it.

There is a thread (getting pregnant after sterilisation reversal) which you may be better off posting on. The ladies are all really nice, and there are some pg ladies you can ask for their surgeons.

good luck,
Julie xxx

Hey Hun,

i had mine done last year at the claremont hospital in sheffield and it was very good for me ......sadly i had am/cin nov lst year then an infection and lost both my tubes in jan this year ...we have just done with our first cycle of ivf and got my bfp !!!!! it worked for us 1st time to be honest i now wish i had just had ivf and not the reversal, but on the other hand there are a few ladies that it has worked for .......its maybe worth you speaking to someone who can give you both sides of the coin so to speak with ivf age plays a big factor

good luck with your journey

Hi there
I had my reversal in December 08 at the Spire hospital In brentwood only a week before xmas so it meant i could still have the time of work to recover. My surgeon was Mr Varma and he was great very straight talker and gave us all the compucations that could happen.
When i had my surgery they found a large cyst on my right ovary which he also removed whilst doing the op.
It cost us £2600 which was really good but we did get it reduced as they had allot of building work for a new section to the hospital and it was so close to xmas.
We are still ttc but know it will take a while as im 39 and husband has just turned 40.
Good luck in finding a consultant.

Flossey x

Hi, i had mine done in Northampton. £150 consultants fee then £3100 for the op. Mr Davis did the proceedure but before he did it he teste both myslf and my partner to make sure i was ovulating and he had good sperm.. both ok so he went ahead with the op. (if there were probs he would of done ivf instead) This gives us a chance to get pregnant every month. On my 2nd month now as i never ovulated last month (due to the op i think as i know i ov as i get the pains) so its fingers crossed from now on. Oh yeh, im 36 and OH is 30. Mr Davies is nothing if not thorough, i have had a follow up scan 2st month and due another soon - he gives you his mobile no. too. jus awaitning the BFP now - good luck in your search x

Hi I had my op at The Three Shires hospital Northampton on the 22 June, Mr Bibby was the surgeon, he was brilliant, he took really good care of me and the staff where just the best. Cost £3100, the hospital was more like a hotel, lovely food, gorgeous grounds, just brilliant, would recommend it to anyone, good luck in your search xx
