Post subject: Support Bands?
I recently was diagnosed with SPD and my MW has told me to buy a support band that goes under the bump and has velcro on the sides for adjustments....
Just wondering if anyone can suggest a good one that's not too expensive?

Thanks Smile

Hi hun - i also have SPD and have done as much research as i can into support bands for SPD.

I found there were two. One is at Mothercare and its £12.00 which is velcro at the back or there is one with hug-a-bump and is £44.00. I was going to get the most expensive until a friend in work who also had spd recommended the mothercare one. I bought it last week and wore it for a few days and it did defo help! unfortuantley i left it at my mums over the weekend so will not be able to pick it up for a few days Very Happy - it also helps that it is the cheaper option! xx

The hug a bump one was the one i was looking at and I'm glad you've said the mothercare one because i didn't want to spend £44!
Do you have a link for the mothercare one?

And I'm glad it helps, the pain is starting to become unbearable Sad

mine had been really bad an i am only 28+4 - mine is mainly in my bum cheeks though and i am really struggling with walking any distance.

here is the link hunni:-

I also have a support pillow which is a god send as i wake up in the night so uncomfortable - it feels like i am sleeping on rocks! and my one wee a night has turned into two so its getting back to sleep after!

Yeah, mine seems to be all over that area but particularly my pubic bone, and walking is just a no no.

Thank you! I'll buy it asap! Laughing

Yeah i have one too Smile but i still get no sleep at all. Couple of hours at the most, which sucks!
