just to let all you ladies know that dont know, about NHS IVF offers.

when i first started with the fertility clinic back in November 08 i was told i would be offered 1 NHS IVF treatment. there have been changes from may 1st 09 for the east of england. i went back to the clinic yesterday and have been offered 3!!!!

im not sure about other areas but see the following link to make sure (brought to my attention by lillia)

wow thanks for that link...its great news for you (and will be for many others too!) Best of luck with your journey

Seems i would be offered 2 cycles which is brilliant. Theres a 6 month estimated waiting time for our area though so my dilemma would be do we start trying to get assistance TTC now or do we try for longer?? we've only been charting/TTC 'officially' for 6 months but havent actually taken any precautions for over 3 years so dont know if we would fit the criteria now.

this will definitely prompt me to make enquiries tho.....many many thanks x x x

Quinny it is such a post code lottery! We didn't get any funding but if i lived at my sisters address in walthamstow we would have got 3 funded cycles despite both having children already. Keep checking with your PCT as they do review funding frequently.

Post subject: Paying for IVF
I am sooo annoyed that I have to pay for IVF!!!! My DH has a child from previous relationship who is 16, but I do not have any children. But because he has we have to pay for our treatment!!!! Evil or Very Mad

We have already had two gos at IUI, which cost alot, and both failed. On my next cycle we are moving onto IVF, so just got to try and find the money! Hope it works first time, as don't know if I'll be able to afford a second go!
