Its an Annabel Karmel Recipe and Oliver loves it Very Happy Its a good source of protein and iron. LOVELY LENTILS 1/2 small onion finely chopped 4oz carrot chopped (i used frozen) 1/2oz celery chopped 1 tblspoon of veg oil 2oz split red lentils 7oz sweet potato (I added mine seperate [when serving it to Ollie] cos I already had a bag full of cubes) 14fl oz of veg stock..less if your adding your sweet potato seperate. Saute the onion, carrot and celery in the oil for 5 mins or until soft. Add the lentils and sweet potato and pour over the stock. Bring to the boil, turn down heat and simmer for 20 mins. Then puree in a blender to the consistancy you want. I did mine quite lumpy as i'm moving Ollie onto stage 2. Great recipe thanks so much, i am going to make it now for my 9 month old son! www.mummykmaternity.co.uk Posted: Fri May 28, 2010 6:09 am

Post subject: recipes for weaning mashed apple, mashed banana, half boiled egg, arhar dal (yellow pulse) which has only salt and no chilli in it are few nutritious things you can give your kid who has just started eating solid food..Although you can find out the basics on what can be given during this time and will eventually be able to make your own recipes...i got a lot of info from forums like this and blogs which are exclusively posted by the baby products forums like babeezworld etc.
