Post subject: 20 Hour Travel with One Month Old This is my first pregnancy and I am not sure what to do.
My husband and I were thinking of taking a family trip with my parents to florida (from toronto, canada) - at that time the baby would be about a month old. The car ride would be 20 hours (2 days) - and we would be stopping for diaper changes/feedings, etc along the way. Once we get there we would be staying in a condo, so the vacation itself would be just like being at home - so after travelling for 2 days we would be able to stick to a routine, if we had one in place at that time. Just wanted to know if anyone else had travelled by car for such a distance with an infant... any help would be appreciated. THANKS!!!! Posted: Mon Aug 17, 2009 10:14 am
Post subject: as long as you are able to stop say every 2 hours or so then you'll be fine. try and make up your bottles before you leave if you are bottle feeding. if your baby will be 1 month old by the time you go he/she will most probly sleep most of the time
