Post subject: unexplained infertility
Has anyone here been diagnosed with unexplained infertility??? What a crock a poo!!!! I had a specialist consultation todayand have to have a HSG as a final test to see if I have any blockages which would explain why we are not conceiving. I know we are just a year trying but my oh has to get back onto important meds that stop us being able to get pregnant and I am 38 so time is running out. (has a miss a yr ago so technically we are trying for 2 yrs come January)
We were told that without any female problems there is a 3 yr waiting list so if there is nothing wrong with my tubes we will have to privately fund IVF as I will be 3 months off 40 before we are eligible. Has anyone else had this diagnosis and what have you done.

I have to get my next period and then book it for that month. This is my last month ttc naturally so theres plenty of pressure on oh over this month. Being older ttc is very frustrating because everyone tells you about time running out and I feel this puts huge pressure on top of everything else.
Let me know how you got on. I had a miss in 08 too so its all taken its toll!

i feel the pressure re time running out. Im 41 OH is 50. He has low morphology but everything else his side is fine- just me being sterlised obviously didnt help! He has a 6 year old daugher his ex was 42 when she had her so i know its possible.
Weve told no one ive had my sterilisation reversed so we dont feel the TTC pressure from anywhere but ourselves.
Mind fed up of being told my medical staff im get old!! Think im too old for IVF but not really looked into it. i choose reversal instead and if it hasnt worked so be it.

I was 39 this year and just been refered to the Chaucer in canterbury and we have unexplained infertility. Been trying for 4 years and had all the tests. Consultant has been really good and we managed to get an appointment really quick on the NHS.
Understand the worry about time running out but now a huge relief that things are starting. Chat and plan booked for this month so hope to start treatment at end of sept.
Dont dispair and keep pushing your doctor. We lost a year because they lost our details so keep on at them.
