How often should my baby be feeding?

Post subject: How often should my baby be feeding? Hello, i'm new to this site. My little one was 7 weeks early so although she is nearly 12 weeks, her corrected age is 5 weeks and I was just wandering how often she should be feeding and if its possible to get her into a routine yet. I apm breastfeeding her.

Post subject: Thanks for that, was its easy to get Aimee on a routine? I have started looking at the baby whisperer routines which is suggesting every 3 hours until 4 months then every 4 hours but I am struggling to get my little one into it.

my little one was 5 weeks early i am bottle feeding too but for the first 2 months i let her feed when she was hungry which was every 3 hours now i have her on every 4 hours which she seems to like but i htink breastfed babies need to be fed more often as they dont get as much good luck and welcome to the site x _________________

my little girl was 6 weeks early and i breastfed. i was told by the midwives and health visitors to just feed her when she wanted it. if you try to force feed them in a routine, they get too tired and wont put wieght on etc.... hope this helps hun xxx _________________

My little girl was 5 weeks early and feed via a tube for the first 11 days while in hospital. When she first came out we were feeding with a bottle as she wasn't strong enough to breastfeed. After a day or so we changed to breastfeeding. My doc said to feed her whenever she woke/wanted it, but not to let her go longer than 6 hours as her blood glucose levels would drop too low. So now during the day she feeds every 4 hours and at night she feeds every 5 hours which is really great considering she's not even a month old yet. Post subject: georgis was 5 weeks early. i fed her every 3 hours until about 8 weeks wen we moved to every 4 hours.
i breastfeed georgia and found it really easy to get into a routine. wot is it that ur finding difficult? _________________
