Hi there, I'm new to all of this and I'm another that's been lurking for a few weeks without posting! Been trying for about three months and trying to find out what I can!
I have erratic cycles so I am not sure of my cycle length, Had cramping one day but other than that nothing, have been feeling sick and queasy for the past few days. Had an acidic feeling in the back of my throat for a couple of days and have had a few days where I've had a couple of dizzy spells.
Really don't want to test as I've seen lots on here where sometimes AF is late for no reason, or all these symptons could be attributed to anything!!! Please can you help and let me know the best time to test and also what kind of symptoms I can look out for??!
Thank you in advance!!

Hi there Mrs W72. Well it all sounds very promising - you have the classic symptoms, but as you know there is only one way to find out for sure and that is to test. Best done in the morning, with 1st wee of the day, and using a sensitive test. A lot of the ladies recommend first response, but Im a bit tight, so I use tesco own or asda own, and as far as I can tell, they are just as sensitive. I would get a two pack, use one then if neg, the other a few days later cos it can take a while to get into the urine.
Good luck honey, let us know how you get on Pipsx _________________

Thank you! I've read loads on here that have tested neg and still got BFP at a later date. Have people staying just now so I'm going to wait until they go so that I can share any upset (or excitement!) just with OH.
Will leave it til Mon but AF will have arrived by then
xx

Oh my god, couldn't wait any longer just did a test and got a BFP!!!! Should I do another test before going to the doctors?
There's hope for everyone as we've not been great at taking an active interest and only for about 2/3 months!!
One question, how would I find out how far on I am (if it's true - in shock and finding it very hard to take in!)?? I've got so many weddings, hen nights, parties and other stuff happening in the next few weeks I'm going to have to think up cast iron excuses for not getting sozzled
In such shock, can't believe the coincidence after me taking the plunge and posting on the site.
Thank you so much for your help xx

Hey big congratulations!!!!! Well, if you are 37 days, you are probably just over 4 weeks preg. They count from the date of your last period, but that is based on 28 day cycle, so about 4 1/2 maybe? Only a scan will tell you for sure. Good luck with next nine months Pipsx _________________

BIG CONGRATS ON THE BFP!!!!
You could try one of the "Due Date Calendars" and insert the first day of your last period and amend the cycle length to suit. At least it will give you a rough estimate of your due date and how many weeks you are, but the "Due Date Calendars" can differ by a few days depending upon which site ou visit.
Once again, Congrats. Wishes xx

thank you all so much - I just joined this board so I don't want to move to another yet! Trying not to get too excited just in case it's a wrong test? Will let you know how I go next week. xx
