Post subject: Stiches
I was not too sure where i should post this.

I had 3rd degree tearing whilst giving birth to my little girl and lots of stiches!!
Two weeks on they are still very sore, it hurts whilst i walk and sit down. Also when i look in the mirror the wound is open and has a bit of puss in it, sorry!!
Is this normal or should i be worried? Im not enjoying my baby as much as i want to as I want to get out and do things with her but cant because of the pain.
What can i do?

I had a 2nd/3rd degree tear, my stitches have healed but I now have an infection, 2 and a half weeks after having Poppy. Go to your dr and get things checked out. I did this morning and am now on anti-biotics. I had the same problem that I wasn't enjoying my little girl because of the pain. It's an awful pain isn;t it? Really interferes with everything you do. Alternatively your midwife should check your stitches if you need her to, mine does.

Hope things get better soon,

LD

Did you see the dr Tracie? Hope they got you sorted. It will get better I'm sure. Thanks for the comment about Poppy Devonmum. My infection is starting to get better, helps to put things in perspective a bit when the pain eases.

Hope all getting better for both of you Milillamb and Tracie

Yes I have got an infection, so that puts my healing time back Crying or Very sad
I really wanted to take Freya swimming soon as well.
Glad that your infection is clearing, hopefully our infections will be gone for good soon so we can really start to enjoy our babies.

I hope so, it so affects what you can do and how you feel doesn't it? It seems to be one thing after another at the moment. just want to get on with enjoying my little girl without all this pain and endless tablets and medication.
