kendal?

Post subject: kendal? hey,
i was looking at places to 'babymoon' sometime next year, was looking at kendal (in between yorkshire moors and lake district), sounds lovely for a short break, i was wondering if anyone knows the area and could tell me if there is much for big fat pregnant ladies (as i will be then) to entertain themselves with, apart from eating  Posted: Sat Nov 21, 2009 5:07 pm

I love kendal, like all of the lake district it's beautiful. If you're still able to waddle a few miles then there are some shorter walks to be done but there are other attractions you can drive to - there's the Derwent pencil factory (more interesting than it sounds), the Beatrix Potter thing (not been to that though) the mint-cake factory (yummmMMMMMMmmmm), boat-trips on Windermere. Ambleside is also beautiful and not that far away, some nice pubs to have your lunch in. Have fun! xx _________________
