Post subject: Weight Gain...
Not sure if this is in the right forum or not...

I am just over 15 weeks pregnant and still havent gained any weight, despite having quite an obvious pregnancy bump.

My midwifew said not to worry as I am a stone overweight anyway so have enough reserves!!

When do most people start to gain weight?

Sally don't worry at all. Your midwife is right. Some people gain lots at the start with bloating and eating more to stop morning sickness and others lose weight for the same reason but cos they can't keep things down. Some people just gain lots at the end when the baby gets heavier and some don't gain at all!!! Every pregnancy is different and your midwife will let you know if she's worried at all. I have only gained 16lbs and i'm 4 days overdue now but I know some ladies who were the same due date as me but had out on 3 stone.....both are normal xxxxxxxxxx

I was half a stone overweight before I became pregnant and in about the first 16 weeks I lost a stone, I then put on 1 and a half stone, so all in all I only gained half a stone throughout my pregnancy, It was all baby, he weighed 8lb4.5 and was 2 weeks early, so was a very good size Very Happy
Please don't worry, have a good pregnancy hun xx

I am also just over 15 weeks and haven`t put on any weight either but my belly is really bloated at night. I am not worried about not putting on any weight because my sister only put on 3 lbs in her whole pregnancy (lost 4lbs at the start I think) and her baby was 7lbs something and healthy. She was a stone less when she left the hospital than when she got pregnant.! So don`t worry about it at all.
