So glad you are feeling better Lian and glad your hubby is too Wink bet the lie in was heavenly. C has been up screaming in the night for the last 4 nights running now so you have my sympathy cos after 4 days ive had enough of it! Mind you its come on post nights and I worked out have had 18 hours sleep in last 5 days so you really do have my sympathy.

Shes teething i think poor mite, shes got swollen gums top and bottom and is dribbling great fountains of dribble and pawing constantly at her mouth. Shes also clingy as hell and wont let me out of her sight at the moment. To try and give us a good night tonight she got teething powder, gel, calpol, brufen and was sat watching iggle piggle sucking a cold teether. I just hope it works cos tommorrow night is the night mums meant to have her so neil and i can go out on a date and have a lie in tues and if shes bad again tonight i cant do that to my mum tommorrow so fingers crossed for me as ive been really excited about this.

Lian Elleah sounds way cute on the phone. I heard C giggling today and found her pulling stuff out my box of paperwork and playing peekaboo with my credit card statement Laughing We have been given a full sized keyboard by my sister and it plays songs and she was knelt on all fours next to it playing music yesterday wiggling her bum in time then started licking the lcd display. Special baby Laughing

ha ha ha ha that had me in stitches special baby pmsl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz

oh crappy nights especially when you are working, how awful had that with kyle when i was working makes it hard to concentrate and recuperate, really hope last night was good hope you get your hubby to yourself tonight and your well deserved lay in tomorrow too.

poor gums, elleahs the same ended up giving her a hot bottle thru night to try to help her back to sleep, it did the trick! but she is full of a cold so struggling to breathe , and nappies are confirming teething so i need to stock up on more stuff cos running low i swear kyle didn't suffer like this with teething its such a shame for them all.

xxxxxxx

Lol well shes been known to lick windows before now...

Well she went thru last night but date night had to be cancelled cos neil home too late from work to do it so mums having her friday instead cos hes on leave now as am I. Dont think tonights gonna be as good cos shes already woken up once and had to be cuddled back off to sleep after some teetha powder. I think its the top two but the bottom ones also seem sore and she keeps poking at the bottom so who knows. Its horrible though isnt it. Hope Elleah feels ok soon too, she has enough probs with her sleeping without throwing teething into the mix.

I dont mind nights too much cos I see more of C and need less childcare but im def finding it wearing since i often stay up after my last one or dont sleep before my 1st one unless C is napping and I can grab the odd bit of shuteye here and there. Plus it adds significantly to my wages so just gotta keep plugging on i guess

We did a rough weight on the scales tonight and she seems to have just gotten to 18lb which is great cos shes made up what she lost when she was ill and gotten back on the 9th centile (shes gone down to the 2nd)

Hello Ladies!
It's been a long time since I came on here!
Poor Babies....Teething must be awful, Niamh is exactly the same, she had one of her top ones come through last week and I think the one next to it is on it's way out too as the gum is really bulging Sad she's so good with it though, I've given her calpol a couple of times as she's just been grizzling.... I know what you mean about the nappies hun..it's the first indication I have that Niamh is teething! Over christams she had the runs for two weeks, soaking through her clothes and everything and then two bottom teeth popped through!

Niamh is now a standing baby, she can now stand alone as of yesterday from a sitting position (well she goes into Mowgli mode...feet and hands on the floor!) then she pushes herself up, when she's up tho she doesn't know what to do next it's so funny! so she just sits back down again...but at some point she's going to realise she can move her feet...god help me!!
She's got such a funny character, really mischevious and cute. If people in the street smile at her she laughs at them, she's such a charmer and I really could not have hoped for a happier baby! she gets into so much mischief....she now knows that toilet roll comes off the roll and CD's come off the rack, and while I'm putting the CD's back she's emptying the washing out of the basket for me!... and she plays peek a boo with herself in the mirror..which is so cute!
Can't wait for the meet up in May...especially can't wait for Niamh to meet her secret sister Caelyn!! they can both create merry mayhem together Laughing

Speak soon all Very Happy

Hey all
How are you doing. Had a lovely lovely week off this week. Mum had c last night, neil and i had a curry and watched films together all night then i stayed in bed til 945am! Very nice.Today me neil and my mum took C to cotwald wildlife park which was brill. C mostly didnt show loads of interest in all the animals but she liked the lemurs, meerkats, penguins and lions and she ADORED the pigs. She has a habit of saying giggig anyway (we dont know what it means but she says it when shes excited) so she started shouting giggig when she saw the pigs and waving and laughing so i said look caelyn a piggy and she sat on my chest for the next hour shouting GIGGY at everything Laughing

Cant believe Niamh is standing, clever girl. Am also looking forward to the meet in May and meeting caelyns fellow terminator!

Hiya I cannot believe how many things Caelyn is trying to say its really impressive, we have a new words too ibut not as good as that, its Car - she says Ca and holds one of Kyles up, and she says a very emphasized B - a- b-y when she is wanting out of the cot or highchair! I've taught her cheers and she clancks cups with me its too cute. We are getting there with the ta but not too often she is stubborn. She has said some one of words tho in the bath the other day she actually said bless you, clear as anything but never again since she makes a habit of that says things just when I get excited and then doesn't say it again.

Must be frustrating to get Evan drinking more have you tried a beaker cup yet, I found since I had one Elleah happily drinks water from it at meal times, actually she will look towards it and point for me to give her a drink whilst we are eating if you haven't tried might be worth a go.

Its great you are still doing him meals from the book, I stopped months ago, was too much like hard work this time round did it for Kyle a lot longer, but been giving Elleah same food as us for ages now most of the time, I may just be a bit more cautious and separate it a bit if I am adding more stock cubes or something contains a lot of salt but to be honest she will happily eat anything you give her, she used to refuse mince things but seems happy with it now thank god. She just has 1/4 of a sandwhich at lunchtime its so much easier than faffing about with a cooked meal and she enjoys it cos its the only thing I really let her self feed I haven't braved allowing her to feed herself her dinners yet, far to messy an ordeal for me!

Well she finally stated crawling a few weeks ago at last, and actually it hasn't been to bad she explores things but pretty much I just leave her and if she is touching something she shouldn't be she just looks at me and wags her finger and shakes her head, I say no and she tends to come away!

She hasn't yet learned to pull herself up on the sofa, but she get on her knees holding onto something and then tries to play no hands game and falls forward, she has knocked her head on the TV cabinet, sofa and my unit so far but thankfully no lasting marks!

Oh and she has cut another tooth too so quite a lot has happened in a few weeks, funny how some weeks you have nothing to report!

Counting down my holiday now only couple more weeks until I get away from normality and have some fun, will be the last holiday in many years due to money so will be making the most of this one. Off to my Sisters in London today for dinner and some drinks so that will be nice as we haven't visited her on months right catch up soon with you all.

Sorry for rambling I have a habit of that! x

yay well done elleah for crawling,

evan sometimes gets a sandwich for his lunch ive not braved allowing him to feed himself anymore either, its messy enough wen im feeding him never mind him feeding himself!!

im thinkin about gettin a cup wth a straw in it im not sure what they are called ive seen them think they are meant to be for older babies but he is able to sook from a straw and he seems to like it so gonna get one of them, i saw them in asda ages ago and have not seen them anywhere since so my mission is to find them haha

last night was better, he only woke twice screaming but he farted loads before bed, we can even feel the wind in him, my mum doesnt get why him not drinkin wud give him wind so if i can get him to drink more and the wind dont improve im gonna change his milk although he will be on cows milk from the age of 1 anyway
which im so confused about actually, do u still give them a bottle morning and night but of cows milk instead of formula?? and do u heat it? or is it now time to wean off the bottle? ive not got a clue bout moving to cows milk!

eating what we r eating is goin well so far he has had lasagne which first few bites he wasnt sure of but he soon scoffed it, steak pie and beef olives,
i already know he likes mince and loads of other meals, gonna try a chicken korma 2moro i hope his stomach is ok with it im not sure but health visitor said to even give him curry
his stooles were a bit loose today tho prob the lasagne from last night lol

i was a bad mummy today, we went in town with my friends from work for lunch so we went to a pub lunch and instead of taking food for evan i thought he cud jst share mine (I took yogurts that was it) we waited 20 mins in the pub to get served 3 ppl came in after us and got served before us we didnt get served til we complained, then another 45 mins later we still had no food so we got up n left by this time we were all starving and next door jst happened to be burger king and it was already an hour and half after evans usual lunch time so we went to burger king, i didnt really want evan to have burger king tho so all he got was his yogurts and some rice cakes and bit of a pancake poor wee thing, he did however scream to get his hands on my milkshake so i gave him a tiny suck of the straw and we got our first major tantrum cos i took it off him after a wee sook, so i had to give him a lil more after which it was clear he got brain freeze haha cos his face was so funny didnt put him off tho i ended up having to bin it so he didnt cry for anymore didnt want him gettin anymore of a sore belly!!

Oooopsy we have fallen off the 1st page, time for an update on the bubbas i feel. 2 1/2 weeks til caelyn is 1 Shocked Shocked Shocked

We dont have an up to date weight at moment though i think its about 18lb. Might get her weighed the week she turns 1 to see what she hits by her bd Laughing

Words are going stunningly now:
Mummy/mum/ma - all the time
Daddy/dada - all the time
Baba - has stopped this one at moment
Ta or Ank You - Ta is infrequent and Ank You only the once so far though
Ca' (cat) - all the time
Ba'h (bad) - infrequently
I-ahh (hiya) - when prompted
Uh-Oh - says this lots
Num(yum) - usually just when eating
Bubu (bedtime bunny) - again not saying at moment, lasted a few days and hasnt been repeated
Giggig(we still havent worked it out but it seems to be an excitement noise and when we went to cotswold wildlife park and she saw piggies for the first time it became giggy)
Nana - not saying at mo
Ah-ah-ah (no) - says sometimes
Ehhhhh! - got bored of this i think
Nonononono! - says No losts again
Duck - though its sometimes Dut
Googurl (Good girl) - one of her latest ones and she says it a lot
Doot/Yook (Look) - started this yesterday and points when shes doing it

Shes like a sponge at the moment though, if you repeat anything to her a few times she tries really hard to repeat it. I was trying to teach her birdie at the aviary the other day and she got as far as duddy bt we havent been back for her to try again and I tell her things are yukky when shes trying to touch em so she tried to say Gukky the other day. I am starting to think she might be a bright lil cookie. Shes got a counting colours book and if you ask her wheres the cat, wheres the duck or wheres the pig she can point to them if they are on the page. Also when we took a trip to cotswold the other day she kept saying cat to any animal with 4 legs and duck to any bird so she didnt know the names of the animals but seemed to be categorising them. Shes also trying to string a couple of words together so the other day we got Daddy Googurl and have also had Ba'H Cat! My mum also reckons she is saying Oma though ive not heard it and said Coco the other day though again I have not heard it. (When she burps or farts my mum says I should Coco to her). Shes also trying to copy my mum rolling her r's but cant quite get it whichj is rather funny. I cant teach her it cos i cant do it lol.

Walking wise she is cruising well now and will walk from one side of the lounge to the other and then across the dining room (as long as there are no corners) with her walker. She prefers to crawl than walk though and if i try and tempt her away from the sofa with a toy she just gets down on her knees and crawls over. Shes a climber as you have probably seen from my photos of her on top of her ride on though strangely enough shes still not interested in the stairs, she can go up em cos shes done it with me but doesnt want to do it for the sake of it which im grateful for! Shes also finally mastered clapping LOL!!!

We still have only 2 teeht but she seems to be trying to cut 6 at the mo and is really rough with it, shes streaming with snot and getting a lot of headaches near as i can figure since she clutches her forehead a lot and is oh so so clingy! Will be glad when they get here. Shes had calpol at bedtime every night for a week now.

all in all shes ace though, i couldnt have a life without her nowadays. How are the rest of you's?

Hi all!

Thought I'd best do an update as I keep meaning to when I get him weighed then I forget and think I might as well wait for next weigh in and so it goes!!

Benjamin is still average weight and height and is was 20 lbs at last weigh in but quite solid with it.

He is crawling everywhere now but with one foot and one knee for some reason but he gets round pretty fast and occasionally puts either both knees down or both feet but he seems happy enough. He pulls himself up on anything and cruises round the furniture and can walk with his walker but hasn't got complete control of it yet so it sometimes runs away from him and he falls down. He can stand on his own for quite a while (prob about 5 - 10 secs in reality but it seems like ages LOL) but is the same as C and prefers to get down and crawl to where he wants to get and pull himself up again.

Food wise he is still a bit temperamental and will sometimes have my food and then next day not want to touch it so can go from sandwiches, raisins, chicken or fish to stage 1 food out of a jar - very unpredictable!

He's still only got 2 bottom teeth but I think one of the top ones is thinking about joining them.

You've probably seen my other post about sleeping but its got much better since we got a humidifier. He has pretty much slept through from about 7 til about 5 for the last couple of nights but seems hungry about 5 with his tummy rumbling so we get up for a bottle then he is straight back to sleep.

He doesn't say much apart from Mama quite a lot in a really deep funny voice! He babbles away in his own language so doesn't make any sense but he seems to know what he is talking about.

His cutest thing is his actions he is doing to nursery rhymes:

Bubble, bubble, bubble, pop to The Turtle Song - opens hands wider and wider then claps them together

Claps hands when you sing If You're Happy and You Know It.

Points to the ceiling at the right point in Wind the Bobbin Up.

Rubs my hand and tickles me under my chin to Round and Round the Garden.

He has also been to baby signing and can sign rabbit and bed - rabbit is as you would expect with two hands being ears but it is sooooo cute!

As for me, I've got a new job!!! Not sure if I've posted or not, life has all blended a bit recently when Benjamin wasn't sleeping! Its for a local housing association 10 mins drive from where we live which is gonna be ace instead of the 1 1/2 hour travel each way to Manchester. Only thing is its full time so gonna be 8.40 to 5.00, 5 days a week whereas I was gonna work 8 - 4, 4 days a week but have worked out I'll be out of the house 8.15 to 5.15 instead of 6.30 to 5.30 so got to be better!

I start on Monday - BOO!!! but its only the day before I was due to start anyway so not too bad. The worst thing is that work haven't told the rest of the office that I'm not going back yet so I haven't even been able to go in and say goodbye to anybody - how pants is that.

The other change is that our childminder has a new boyfriend who I don't like the look of - its awful to say as I'm sure he is a lovely bloke but I just felt really uneasy that he was gonna be around Benjamin all the time so we've moved him to a nursery which he seems to like.

Anyway, I think thats me updated for now ladies - will let you know how work goes!!!

Speak soon - I can't believe all our LO's are nearly one now - eek!!!

Wow haven't been on here for ages and your LO's are all doing amazingly.

We moved up to Yorkshire 3 weeks ago now and have settled in really well. Emily had 2 days where she was difficult sleeping in the day but thats OK now, and she wakes up a little early at 6am but today was nearer 7am so fingers crossed it gets better!

She is still not crawling but sooooo frustrated. Plops onto all fours all the time and then kicks her legs our behind her when she is trying to move them and flops onto her tummy and then that is is, she will try and try to get back onto all fours until she is in hysterics crying.

Does walk well when holding onto my fingers though and this has become her passion, getting really cross if you refuse to do another lap of the house with her! She loves kicking a small inflatable ball around the house too. It was very cute the other day as I walked her to the front door to unlock it when James got home from work and she saw him through the glass and started running!
We've got hard stone floors in our kitchen & play area so we bought her her first shoes last week, a size 3G. She was so cuffed with them James walked her around the shop and she was beaming from ear to ear and yelping with delight.

Don't know anyone up here really but did go to the local NCT "East of York Villages" coffee group on Friday and they all seem lovely so hopefully I'll make some friends there.

Started self feeding well now. I give her a bowl and spoon with a bit in and I have a bowl & spoon with the majority and she gets most of it in herself but I have to put it on her spoon for her. It was v cute the other day as she got a little chirping chick at Easter and she had it on her highchair the other day and was trying to feed it from her spoon!

Haven't had her weighed for nearly 5weeks now what with the move but she was 20lb 0.5 oz then.

We have had alot of anti-biotics in the past few months. First there was the chest infection which took 2 courses (12 days in total) to get rid of then an ear infection for which she is on her second 5 day course for! Feel terrible, although not my fault, as a friend of mine has 2 children (aged 2 & 4) and they have never had anti-biotics!

There are loads of things I think I must post on here and then when I finally log on they all vanish out of my head. lol.

Morning all

Lol @ Emily with her shoes. We went and bought C some cruisers the other day. Shes only a 2F so if she does start walking soon shes gonna have to stay in cruisers cos they dont do walkers that small. She was such a thug in the shop though, it was vintage caelyn. Took her in and they bought out 2 pairs of shoes, they put on the ones i wasnt so keen on first then put on the ones i liked. Hwever, C decided she liked the other ones and picked one up and started licking the sole Laughing . I took it off her and said no so she had a paddy then picked up the other and started licking the sole of that. I took that off her too so she went bat sh*t. At this point the woman asked me to stand her up to check the fit but cos she was having a tantrum she refused and kept lifting her feet off the floor. So i took her to the door which had a glass window in it covered in bars and she was holding them looking at the cars outside. So the whole time the woman was checking her shoes she was rattling the bars on the windows and shouting at the cars Laughing . Anyway the shoes fit well so they took em off andf the woman said she would box em up and put C on the floor. Like greased lightning she was off and while the woman put her shoes in a box she started pulling all the women's sandals off the shelf and spreading them across the floor so I had to retrieve her from a small p[ile of strappy shoes Laughing . Not sure we are ever welcome back lol. The shoes are ace. Start Rite Cutie tot in purple for £22. We have an outlet village with a clarks near us so am gonna check that out next time to see if they are less expensive. She was also very proud of them though and when we put her in the buggy to go to the supermarket that evening she wasd lifting her feet to show them to everyone. Laughing

Best get back to work but will chat laters x

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA that sounded hilarious, Caleyn you little demon!!!!!!!! I would have been so stressed out if she done that lol!

Well when Elleah deceide to give walking a go, which I feel may well be a while off yet, I have found a lovely pair of shoes in mothercare that I like, so I am going to get her feet measured in clarks but go to mothercare and get her the shoes I like. I did the same for Kyle and he never had any problem with walking, I just cannot afford shoes at £26 a time how do Clarks get away with that! I wouldn't mind but I bought Kyle clarks trainers once and they were scuffed in minutes it really annoyed me cos I think they should be designed better for that price.

Rant over lol!

I have an appointment thru for Elleah to see a paediatrician in May but she seems to have got better all of a sudden, still waking in the night, although I had a couple of nights last week where she slept till 5am without waking - triumph, but still having pretty restless nights, but she is showing no other symptoms of reflux now so not sure if theres any point in going to the appointment I will make my mind up when the time approaches I guess.

Was naughty today, she had half a dognut she is such a ganet she just would not let me enjoy mine so for piece I just gave her half - yes I know spoilt and naughty!

Kyles been a pest this week, today he sprayed my living room walls with his great big water gun I could not believe it! Needless to say he spent a 4 minute session on the stairs and had the TV banned for a while, he is a good boy but for some reason likes to remind me that he can have the devil in him too!

Right off to do dinner x
