parental leave

Post subject: parental leave can any1 help me. My 4th baby is due on 19th july 2010 and my partner would like to take 2 weeks paternity leave when the baby is born. When our last baby was born his employer would only allow him to take 1 week paternity leave and said she had the right to do this. Is she lawfully allowed to only allow him 1 week off?

Welcome to Askbaby! Im sure im right in saying that anyone taking paternal leave is allowed 2wks paid leave and another 2wks non paid. Depending on the employer, they will only get something like £123 a wks for paid leave but employers will sometimes give full pay. Just depends on the company! _________________ [  [
