We have been to eqypt and we didnt get ill at all, but maybe we were just lucky =]

The pyramids are brilliant, as is the Spynx and the valley of the kings. We went on oen of those nile cruises

One thing is you have to be really careful of pickpockets as they were rife when you go into cario

Dollars and Egyptian pound I think, mainly egyptian pounds but for some things they liked you to pay using dollars as far as I can remember. Though the second time we used english pounds as well so I think you can use anything tbh

Hey Laura

I've been to Egypt twice now, you really can't explain how amazing it is - you def need to see it yourself.

Wasn't ill either time and didn't need malaria tablets. Did take a good mozi repellant although i don't remember there being a problem. Used Egyptian pounds both times without any trouble.

I'd go back in a second and do all the same things again. Although i am probably a bit biased because that's where my hubby proposed Very Happy

It was really romantic, bless him.

I've been in July and September, but i've been told December is one of the nicest times to go because it's not quite as hot.

Congratulations on winning, you must have been so pleased!

I'm sure your daughter will forgive you, especially if you bring her back lots of pressies!! Have you got relatives who will look after her?

My fellas mum and dad is just back from Egypt and loved it. They were in that place ur going to (not even going to attempt to spell it! lol) and had a great time.

They didn't get ill, only thing they said is they got hassled alot by people asking to take their photo... pretty much cos they wanted u to pay them.

They were there end June/beg Aug and said it was far too hot to be comfortable, but December should be a lovely time to go.

Hope you have a great time, you lucky duck!!
