I had my baby - 20th July, she is now 12 days old.
Being pregnant i was forever doing things - apart from sittin on here lol - and since birth im still the same.
I cannot rest, my body still not healed completly (suspect tiny tear, though no ones looked or checked anything since birth-day.)

I've even been moping the bathroom floor, washing the sink and u bend whilst being on the toilet Shocked Embarassed This is not like me at all, lol!!

Now monday i had chest pains and became really disorientated - Tuesday was breathless and chest pains again.
Tuesday afternoon - midwife said going to discharge me wed (next day) and see the doctor reguarding problems as shes hasnt a clue.

Wednesday morning, 11am saw the doctor, he did my blood pressure via monitor - then he did it again, and then again, by this time im sat there (cant see the display thinking something has to be wrong...)
Anyway - he said i was tachecardic with my heart beating 30 more beats per minute that it should. According to him it could of been undiagnosed DVT through pregnancy - which has lead to a clot on the lung post birth.
He rang the hospital - Gloucester Royal and what i thought arranged a scan, as aparently these are serious...
He wrote a letter - and said to make our way to hospital - question Pulnery Embalis?

Arrived at hospital, they did ECG, glucose test, tried for bloods 3 times failde (severe needle phobic) then did chest xray.
They refused to give me CT scan until morning - and even then wnot to be done wthout bloods first. Aparently thy are 'very expensive test to be run' the Ct scan that is

My question is this - why oh why if the fricking clot doesnt show up on the chest x ray did they waste money on that useless test? DOH!!!!! ( me and hospitals DO NOT go together like sugar and spice and all things nice.....)

They did my sats, which were at 94% so put me on oxygen which really made me feel ill - lol then being pushed into a wheelchair to xrays - wow know how to make a girl feel like an invalid dont they !!

Here is me - on the oxygen, had to have a piccy for facebook.....

The thing thats really upset me is having to be in hospital, i had a ome birth as i hate hospitals and especially dirty stinking minging places, and to take Meghan in there, really shamed me.

I had to discharge myself - (lol did that in 04....day after section...) As Meghan could not stay with me on her own, Dean (DH) had to be with us just in case they are left 'holding the baby' and he cant b there without the boys - lol, she couldnt go home as im breastfeeding her....

Goshhhh....

So has anyone else had this cannot rest lark - how do you get around it hehe xx

So thats what ive been up to this week....

Undiagnosed - as they want to try again with bloods before doing the Ct scan - and me being me wont allow another attmpt, i hate needles and hospitals equally as bad - so its all undiagnosed.

Still having chest pain, which is on and off but worse when active, walking, going upstairs etc.. Also still becoming breathless.

I am anemic (well was at 28 weeks) so it could be anemia playing up, but according to the doctor wouldnt explain the tachecardia...

I dont want to worry you, but please please please so as much as you can to get this sorted... this is why...

Last thursday, my ex-husbands dad, still a great friend of mine and absolutely beloved grandad to our girls, died suddenly and quite horrifically.
Unbeknown to him, he had a massive tumour on the lung, which errupted, the blood from the erruption forced its way out of his nose and mouth, he hit the floor dead in minutes. My ex husband heard him fall, went to see what had happened and found him slumped in the toilet, blood everywhere, still spewing blood from his nose and mouth.
I rushed round as he has the girls over (lives with his dad), i saw the aftermath, im still in shock.
My kids are heartbroken, he was playing with them just hours before this tragerdy.

Im sorry to be so graphic and im aware this reply may upset you, but having recently witnessed this and the devastating effects, i cant not emphasis how extremely important it is you see this through, no matter how much you hate hospitals.

He must have had his clot for a long time for it to become so enlarged and he too hated hosptials, thats why we think he must have ignored symptoms - but he literally went from an active fit 63 year old to 'gone' in seconds.

Please check this out and insist you are seen soon.

Once again, sorry if this worries you, but its so important hon xx

hey Springer!!

wow you dont take things easy do you?

aww look at meghan shes an absolute doll!! looks so content there too!! hows she coming along? you up most of the night or she starting to settle into a routine? (just wondering as i want to breast feed and wondering how exhausted im going to be)

sorry cant help ya on the keeping busy thing as this is my first healthy baby, but i must say i hope i hae your energy 12 days after giving birth!!

i know you hate needles but can you not just ask for a specialist to take the blood to make sure they get it first time (its just im a bi*ch to get blood out of and if they start using me as a pin cushion i tend to just say i want someone who can get it out of me now) just a tidge worried that if it goes undiagnosed properly there could be serious repercussions and im sure ur boys and lovely little girl dont want anything bad to happen to their mummy do they?

hope you and family are well!!!

A routine - this early, we would be lucky lol!!
A few more weeks maybe.. As for breastfeeding good for you - im still fully breastfeeding her now! She is really good (like the boys..) feeding every few hours, 3-5 hour gaps, so some sleep is gained !! (prob where my energy is coming from..) lol
Im not going to lie though, its tough breastfeeding - especially overnight when you are trying to *take it easy* unless your me, lol - there is ways around this though, persistance, co-sleeping is something to look into but not for me, express via breast pump so your partner can get up and feed when maybe your still too tired to stir..
Reguards breastfeeding - please oh please get help if you experience pain, redness or what ever - there are such things as breastfeeding councilors - who aprently help (ive not seen one yet) the midwife was out the day after delivery, saw Meghan feeding - commented shes only on the nip, not latched properly - didnt offer help or tell me, reminding me how to do it properly. Grrr then 3am i was crying meghan screamin for hunger and me just in aggony as id forgotten about the "wait for the yawn" thing..

The day of birth and the day after i did nothing but sit on my bum Laughing and since day 3 upwards i just cannot stop myself, i looked like hunchback of notradam' vaccuming and walking like a duck still due to blood loss etc..

I know what your saying about repercutions - its nice to know how many people care really, since i discharged myself the phone hasnt stopped ringing with people asking how i am, and if i am okay..... Shocked NOT Shocked

The midwife came out yesterday said it sounds more muscular, take my iron and basically told me to shut up Grrrrrrrrrrr

Me + NHS = CAT FIGHT

Laughing
