Post subject: Faint positive or evaporation line??
My husband and I have been ttc for 3 months. I came off the pill in April, after 15 years, and the first month I didn’t have a visit from af for 31 days and the second month she didn’t visit again til 24 days later, however af hasn’t visited at all for 36 days now. I did a test Saturday morning, by peeing in a cup and putting the test in it so as not to splash the results window, then waited 3 minutes (I studidly thought 3 minutes and not the actual 5 minutes, which I have since learnt, was the maximum time to see a positive result), and saw only 1 line then when I looked at it again – about 30 mins later there was a faint second line but it was definitely there………could this be an evaporation line, even though I didn’t splash the results window, or could I be pregnant?
Any opinions or advice very welcome before I drive myself round the bend!!

If it said not to read after a certain time (for instance 5 or 10 mins) then this is not an accurate result sorry. If under any doubt, I would test again with your first morning wee and only read it before the maximum time. I hope it is positive for you.

I have just done another test and looked at it within the right amount of time & there is a definate faint line again.......I am using an early pregnancy NHS midstream test that I bought off eBay - has anybody used these and got a false positive or are they reliable. Trying to not let myself get too excited if these tests are rubbish!

It's pretty impossible to get a false positive as long as you have done the test right and read it within the right amount of time! Try a first response as I have found them to be the best - if it is a positive line then congratulations!
