episiotomy and sex

Post subject: episiotomy and sex i had an episiotomy on the 20th nov this year. i recently had sex with my boyfriend( i know i sohould have waited a wee longer) . i have started bleeding today, think this is too soon for my period after episiotomy. i have looked down below and have seen a lump that you can feel , this is not painful but worrying me. has anyone else had a similar problem?

Post subject: Hi, I also had an episiotomy and tried to have sex 5 weeks later. I started to bleed at the time. When I went for my six week check I told the doctor and she said I had pulled a stitch. Although the stitches had disolved the skin hadnt quite healed properly by then. Even now nearly six months on I have a little lump which can be quite painful. I would mention it to your Doctor or health visitor.
