Eat healthy, same as through the pregnancy. DONT!! stop eating or cut down to much, babe still needs all the minerals and vitimans you can give. Babe is gaining weight to get ready to be born so its healthy for him to put on a little now, its normal. Babes always loose a little weight after being born so he needs it now to see him through to the next growing phase. If you try and stop that by not eating you will only put him under stress. Like I said, eat healthy and you will have nothing to worry about.

Why do they feel you may need a c-section if you dont mind me asking? How much do they think your baby may weigh at birth, just wandering as im 35 weeks at mo and measuring 3 weeks bigger, may go for growth scan next week if still big, i really do not want to have a c-section either although this hasnt been mentioned yet x

Why do you want your babys weight to stay the same? Babys grow as big as they can in their environment, and you have a baby that is the right size for your shape.
My sister was previously a size 6 before pregnancy and by week 30 she had a 45 inch weight. She is the biggest pregnant woman ive ever seen. Her baby was 10 pound 8 ounces.

I think you need to ensure that you eat healthily, yes, I did not want to have a c/s either, but my previous scan showed my placenta low, this has now resolved, had this not been the case, then of course I had to have the c/s. All that matters is that the baby is born safely and healthily. I would not encourage you not to eat or to eat less now.

As others have said - eat healthily! Your baby will take the nutrients it needs - if you are not eating enough it will be YOU who has the defficiancy, baby will just take all the nutrients from your body and you will end up feeling ill.
IMO it is very important, especially in later pregnancy, to listen to your body and have whatever you fancy. In late pregnancy, with my youngest, i had a day of 'eating' it was weird - i just couldnt stop feeling hungry, no matter what i ate - half an hour later i was starving again, i kinda nibbled my way through the day! I went into labour that night and on reflection, it must have been my bodies way of storing up energy for the labour and birth - im glad i 'listened' to my body and ate that day!
