Post subject: Going to Turkey in Oct with 18 month old Posted: Tue Mar 16, 2010 9:40 am
Post subject: hi
we took our son on holiday to turkey for the first time when he was 5 months old and will be taking this one in Sept this year (baby will be 5 months old). We had absolutely no probs when we took our son for the first time. He had just started weaning so I took some heinz boxes of porridge etc. and he ate a lot of melon/bananas etc. We took a plastic tub and some steralising tabs with us and travel kettle to do his bottles. We also took formula sachets as they took up less room in the case. As for nappies we thought we would be able to use the nappies out there so didn't take enough for the 2 weeks. It turned out that the nappies wereent that good. The pampers ones out there (I can't remember the turkish name for them) have a kind of plastic coating on them so they seem a bit uncomfortable. We ended up using these during the day when it didnt matter too much as someone we wouldn't have a nappy on the baby when playing at sunbeds etc. and used our good nappies at night. You will have a great time. We have taken our son on holiday every year since and sometimes twice a year. He loves his holidays. We went to Florida last year (when I was 8 weeks pregnant!) but normally go to turkey. Where abouts are you going? We are going to Belek in Sept. Nat _________________
