Post subject: 1st Smear test post-baby
am booked in on Friday for a smear test, first one since I had Isaac. I've always hated smear tests, and having a baby really hasn't improved my feelings about it!!

How long did everyone else have to wait after baby? Is it all the same as before?

Ive never had 1 either!!! Confused
I was told that the age has changed from 21, to 25 (i am 22) but i was under the impression that after having a baby u should have 1! I asked my doctor and he said no!!

Hia DevonMum,

I think I had mine about 6 months after I had Evie. Having hated them before, I found I was less bothered because after having a baby you're so used to people poking, prodding and having a good look up there, it was a walk in the park having a quick smear. It's still not the most enjoyable of things admittedly, but alas it is yet another wonderful experience us woman have to undertake.

Bec x

i would ring my doc and say i want one i had never had one as the things they look for there aint no signs to say there is anything wrong till u have the test

Well done Laura for booking one, it is only a couple of minutes of slight discomfort (not painful), but it is something that is so important.
I'm 26 and I've had 3 or 4, will never miss one xx
