can anyone help with tax credits

Post subject: can anyone help with tax credits ive got my tax credits through which was based on last years salary, ive now gone on to smp which is £800 less per month, am i entitled to more credits now or does that reflect next year? very confused , help please

If you know last years figures you can call up and sort it all out over the phone and you don't need to bother with filling in the form. _________________

Post subject: We are soooo totally confused about our working and child tax credits. We only applied recently and so we got the back log from what we were entitled to but all the figures are so confusing. We are just pleased we got something! Its a massive massive help but think it goes down after our son turns one.

Post subject: They told me that the initial claim has to be based on previous years salary but as soon as you receive your award notice, you should phone and tell them your curent income, is SMP and they will adjust your tax credits if necessary. Amy is now 7 months, and I haven't got round to phoning yet

Post subject: they put 500 quid in my account last week cos i was on mat pay and i didnt tell them cos it was the same amount as my wage so thaught it would just be the same but they dont count the first 100 quid of mat pay
