Niccsy, did Dita do well with her food mashed instead of pureed??
Today Harry has been very poorly so has just had milk and water all day, with the occasional piece of toast and a biscuit.

she wasnt keen to start with and kept gagging - but i kept trying and it didnt take her long at all to get used to it - she did really well, im so glad cos i didnt want her to be on the puree stage too long cos its not impossible for them to get lump phobia lol.
She just had a quarter of a slice of toast and ate every bit of it too!! She deffinately likes her food like braden lol!

Did anyone LO go off porridge/weetabix for a while, Harry used to love it but now he just cries everytime i feed him it If i give him toast a lot of the time he just plays with it, so I dont think hes getting enough food for breakfast any ideas??
Plus he hates scrambled egg too xx _________________

Lewis did exactly this and refused t eat weetabix after loving it! i moved him onto the sort of ready brek type cereals and that worked and now he loves the oats so simply porridge sachets (syrup flavour best!) and i put in a mashed banana xxxxx _________________ I'm not on here all the time so if you need anything PM me Arch x

God bless jars I say cos I'm a terrible cook!! I do try, I make sunday lunches and stuff and freeze extra portions for Amy and I make her lots of things using frozen veg mixed with cheese or meat but that's about my limit. I have to confess I but munch bunch fromage frais and yogurts for Amy but only so I can share them, they remind me of my youth!! rozzy raspberry is my favourite!! _________________

hey don't worry at all! i am only practiced at baby food making cos Fraser is my 2nd within 2 yrs so i am well versed in baby food lol.
(just in case you want to try it tho......i melt some unsalted butter and put in half an onion and a crushed clove of garlic and soften. then i add some small pieces of chicken breast and brown them. then i add a pile of sliced mushrooms and wait til they soften a bit. then i get some bog standard easy cook rice and slap that in with one of those heinz baby stock cubes made up with boiling water and add a wee bit more boiling water so the rice is fully covered. put the lid on and wait about 15 or so mins and the stock ahas cooked the rice and voila, chicken risotto. i wap it in the blendet with a little bit of milk so it's nice and smooth and it is one of fraser and lewis's favourites ) _________________ I'm not on here all the time so if you need anything PM me Arch x

aye and you can freeze it too and then when i reheat it i just add a spot more milk to bring it back to the right consistency again. pretty much i just make adult meals but with no salt and then mush it to whatever consistency it needs to be.....another very easy favourite is heat some of the low salt, low sugar beans up then add a massive handful of the frozen mash you get and stir it in til it all melts in! fab lunch and they love it!!! is soft enough to mush it for our age of LOs but enough texture to give them something to chew a bit on too. sometimes i add a bit of corned beef too. fraser's all time fave is chicken, onion and leek softened in unsalted butter then i add a pile of frozen mash and stir it all up. stick it in the blender to mush the chicken down a bit and it tastes AMAZING!!! i freeze that one too xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx _________________ I'm not on here all the time so if you need anything PM me Arch x
