Today Harry finally had some porridge for breakfast, had to mash some banana up in it though!!

Then for lunch he had a jacket spud with beans at Tesco, followed by apple and grapes

Then for tea I made cheese and tomato pasta, all I did was a cheese sauce, with 1 diced tomato thrown in, and mixed that with some alphabet baby pasta, HE LOVED IT!!

xx

Fraser today had:
5oz bottle with porridge and mashed banana for brekkie
No snack cos he was passed out Laughing
Lunch was his fave mashed tatties with chicken, leeks and onions mixed through
Snack was a biscuit and 5oz milk
Tea was chicken, peppers, mushrooms and rice then heinz baby custard for pud
5oz bottle before bed

For those who were wondering how the smaller bottles are going......he is actually more satisfied and sleeping better!! He slept til 9am this morning and really happy so still getting 14oz milk a day and I won't lower that now til he is about 11 months I think then start cutting them down again.

Has anyone ever tried making a bread & butter pudding then freezing it into smaller portions? I figure it would be a really yummy desert for Noah, and full of calcium, but I don't wanna go to the trouble of making it if it will be useless when it's frozen and defrosted.

Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed Is it really cheeky and naughty of me to post this link:

http://www.emmasdiary.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=880602

I found it while searching for a baby friendly apple & rhubarb crumble recipe and found this link on another forum with literally dozens of baby recipes.

I have been wanting to make a bread and butter pudding for Ava for few weeks now too!

Was wondering how to do it? Though I would just make one in the oven then put the portions into pots to freeze but not sure if it would freeze ok?

Green82 - I've just this minute finished making Bread & Butter pudding! I doubled the quantities and made 2 - one in is in the oven now - the other is made, but not baked. I'm gonna put THAT one in the freezer, then cook it in a few days. The one that is cooking now, I may just cut a portion out and freeze that too and see how well (if it all!) it defrosts and reheats.

I've also made it with sliced peaches instead of raisins - I was a bit worried about Noah chewing on raisins - he's not a big fan of lumps so I thought peaches would be a bit softer.

sounds good! Yeh Ava will take raisins on their own but isn't usually keen on them mixed into other foods yet so will maybe try other fruit too. I'll wait to the weekend to make one after i hear how your's went? Very Happy BTW your trifle idea is really good too. I usually only make rice pudding, baked apple and raisin with cinammon or apricot, pear and apple with vanilla! I do make other stewed fruit too and put it with custard or something but would love some more ideas. xx
