Post subject: What did your baby eat today?? Hi girls, I thought I would steal Zee's idea from the 1 to 5 year forum. Hope you don't mind Zee, but a lot of the food on that thread (very helpful btw) is a bit advanced for Harry so thought I would see what you other mummies feed you babies!!
Yesterday (Tues) Breakfast - Wholemeal toast and a banana (I always struggle with his breakfasts if anyone else has any good ideas) then 8oz of Milk Snack - A spelt biscuit and 3 Organix carrot sticks Lunch - Baked sweet potato, mashed. Half a jar of apple crumble with some mashed banana Snack - 2 biscotti biscuits Dinner - Jar of chicken squash bake and the rest of the apple crumble Supper - Rusk and 8oz of milk Today he has had rusk and 8oz of milk for breakfast and some wholemeal toast (originally tried him with some scrambled egg but he looked at me as if I was crazy LOL) Feel free to add your ideas for recipes too!! _________________ ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted: Wed Jun 02, 2010 7:41 am
Post subject: for breakfast my son had fruity porridge (from boots) with his vitamins mixed in, some Quaker oat crisp cereal pillows and some milk.
He will then have a snack of fruit after his morning nap. My son has never touched egg of any form! wish he would as its so good for him but he's egg phobic. _________________ ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted: Wed Jun 02, 2010 8:57 am

Does he not have soya milk?? I'm sure theres a formula for babies allergic to milk xx I'm always stuck for breakfast ideas, he used to love the porridge and cereals but now he cries if i ever go near him with it on the spoon. He prefers toast but even then he sometimes just plays with it!! Breakfast times hard lol xx _________________ ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted: Wed Jun 02, 2010 8:00 pm

Breakfast - Weetabix (nursery) Snack - Banana (N) Lunch - Corned beef hash with carrots (N) Snack - Melon (N) Tea - Cheese & Jam sandwich (N) Supper - Rusk & Banana They don't get a proper tea at nursery, just sandwiches/beans etc at about half 3 but when she comes home she is always too tired to eat anything else so she gets supper instead. _________________ ![]() Posted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 9:07 am
Post subject: Yesterday, Noah had the following:
7am: BF 8am: Ready brek with a plum cut up into little pieces. 10.30am: Snack - one round of wholemeal toast spread really thinly with strawberry jam, given as finger food. 12.30: Lunch, which today was cod with 3 veg (AK recipe) followed by a homemade trifle made with raspberries, sugar free jelly, sugar free custard and double cream. 3.00am: Normally has a BF, but my mum looked after him while i was out, so gave him formula (he drank 9oz 4.45: Dinner - which yesterday was another AK recipe - Leek, potato, carrot & peas. Followed by homemade rice pudding. 6.30pm: Bottle (which he drank 5oz of, and didn't want a BF - normally he will have a 5 or 10 min BF immediately before going down in his cot at 7pm). I alternate breakfast each morning - weetabix one day, ready brek the next. Today for his mid morning snack he's gonna have toast spread with avocado. Lunch is cauli & brocolli cheese (another AK recipe!) followed by a baby friendly homemade lemon cheesecake and dinner will be beef casserole (yep, yet another AK recipe - what would I do without her!!) followed by more trifle I think (if my OH hasn't scoffed it all!) _________________
