Hi,
not due close to you, but next week, also a bit apprehensive, but recommend you go antenatal classes and ask any doubts you have to mums...to put your mind at rest.
I am sure everything will be OK, don't worry. _________________

Hiya
I'm due at the end of Jan and i'm thinking about it but more along the lines of creating a plan for how i'll pace myself and cope with the experience. I'm looking forward to it as its the last milestone before i meet my little one. I'm not too worried as our bodies are made to do this, dont worry about it as you'll have support and your m/w there every step of the way to guide you through.
It will be fine just dont get yourself too worked up or you'll be dreading it when it does finally happen and wont be able to focus on getting baby out safe and well.
Have a good weekend and think about having a positive birth!

Mum2Be, i'm like a week ahead of you and im terrified too, i just want it to be fast and painless.
My sisters friend was due 11 days ago so the hospital broke her waters today and as of 30 mins ago, she is only 3cm dilated so she has got ages to go !!!
I dont want that _________________

im just terrified of hospitals, and anything that happens in them.. even though im so exited for m scan on weds, i will probably still have a panic attack going there.
My last operation, they had to sedate me to give me the general as i was panicking majorly. They couldnt get the line in, and they had to stab me to get it in.. so its fair enough that i was panicking.
But when i think about birth and any medical procedure they have to do, it scares me sh*tless.. i am really really anxious about the whole ordeal!xx _________________

Same here hun.I really didnt want to to in to hospital for the birth, but it's the only real option, don't have enough space at home for a home birth and we only have 2 birth centre's but neither are close enough,so hospital it is!
I hate them with a passion and my OH is even worse,so i can see me being left on my own for some of it,although he assured me he won't,cos i'll kill him if he does!lol\

I think II'm due very close to you on Jan 9th. This is my third baby, but I'm still scared of the birth, in spite of a wonderful experience giving birth to my second son. Remember there is lots of options in pain relief - I found gas and air fantastic at distancing me from the pain and making me too high to feel anxious. Also remember you will have your wonderful baby at the end of it!
