Post subject: Can I text without my number showing
Does anyone know if I can send a text to a mobile without my number showing. I am on 02 and am having issues regarding an ebay purchase as detailed in my post am I being unreasonable. I have the seller's mobile number and want to advise them that I have lodged a dispute with paypal but don't want them texting/ringing me back giving me hassle

You do know they can get your details from Ebay don't you? So if its the number you have listed on there they can find it anyway, same way as you can find out theirs.

TBH I'd just send them an email and say sort it by x date or I'll log a dispute.

And no you can't block your phone number from a text.

Good luck
xxx

As the others have said they can pull your details if they want to!

However if you want to send free texts without your number on O2 you can use this https://www.o2.co.uk/login?dest=http://sendtxt.o2.co.uk/sendtxt/action/compose (test it first as I know it USED to be without your own number but I haven't used for some time!

EDIT No -now it says the number as I just sent myself one and it said it was from my number!

If you have opened a dispute with the seller they will already have been informed by paypal via email. Hope that helps xxx
